We understand the importance of saddle fit when purchasing a new saddle, and to that end we offer a limited number of saddles for free trial prior to purchase. With our free trial program, you are able to ride in the saddle for 3 days before making the decision about whether to purchase the saddle or return it.

- Ride in the saddle as you would your own for 3 days

- If the saddle is a good fit for you and your horse, keep the saddle*. Otherwise return it for a full refund of the purchase price.

(*Some of our trial saddles are marked as "test" saddles by the manufacturer. If you receive such a saddle for trial and decide to buy, we will refund your return shipping costs and order a new saddle for you.)

If you would like to trial a saddle, simply purchase any saddle with "FREE TRIAL" designated in the title through our website. Free trial saddles must be paid for by credit card through Google Checkout. Only one saddle at a time may be trialed per customer. Your card will be charged for the price of the saddle plus $49.95 shipping.

At the end of the 3 day trial period, please contact us via email or phone and let us know if you plan to keep the saddle or return it. If you plan to return the saddle, your payment will be refunded less the original shipping charge ($49.95). You are responsible for insured return postage. We can not be responsible for saddles lost/damaged in the mail, so return insurance is required for your own protection. Please return the saddle in the original packaging. Saddles must be returned to us within 7 days of your receiving the saddle.

Please do not treat the saddle with anything at all during the trial period (saddle soap, oil, etc). Minor wear to the flaps & billets is acceptable, however you are expected to care for the saddle as if it were your own. Any major damage will be deducted from your refund (large scratches, etc).

Saddle Condition Designations:

New - saddle may show only slight creases on billets; no marks or rubs on flaps or seat

Like New/Demo - saddle shows only light use with only slight billet rub on flap and slight creases on billets; resembles/is a demo saddle

Excellent - very good condition with good billets & flocking; leather in great shape with very little wear or scuffs; no fading of color; all stitching intact; shows only light/moderate use

Good - good usable condition with usable billets; normal wear on flaps & seat from boots & leathers; possibly some fading of color in high contact areas & some surface cracking; flocking/panels usable but may be slightly bumpy; shows moderate/heavy use

Fair - a lot of wear all over; possibly some cracking of leather or loose/undone stitching; serviceable/could need minor repairs i.e. billets, re-stuffing; shows heavy/very heavy use

Test - saddle marked as "test" saddle by the manufacturer. If you trial one of these saddles & decide to buy, we will refund your return shipping costs for the test saddle and order a new one for you.

Prices are normally not reduced until the saddle falls into the "excellent" category, as we need to pay the same price to replace the demo saddle in our inventory. Saddles marked as "test" are not for sale.
